Challenge:
The Stone Creek Crier is a 11-part story about a fictional Northern California small town, told in monthly installments of the town newspaper. The website needed a design that would recall printed newspapers, while providing a structure for viewing the non-standard structure of the overall story arc.
Solution:
To clue readers into the fact that this is a fictional and humor work, I used yellowed colors and pinked paper edges to make it look dated. The front page, organized by month, showcases humorous headlines and ads, and one-liner pull quotes.
